Upon graduating, and inspired by her generation’s virtuosic force in the lively pulse of the San Francisco music scene, Shaina began branching out stylistically.Currently in demand as a national and international performer, she plays everything from classical to funk, hip-hop to rock
In 2012, she toured internationally with the fiddle band Barrage, and currently tours with William Close & the Earth Harp Collective. When she’s home in the Bay Area, she leads the Jazz Mafia string section, Cosa Nostra Strings and her own Eclecta String Trio and Quartet and a hip hop band called Golden Arrow.
Shania is one of the world’s few specialized Aerial Violinists! Whether in harness or perched on her Lyra, she performs brilliantly on her wireless electric violin, suspended or soaring through the air.
As a Lyra, Trapeze & Aerial Violin artist, Shaina has performed as a company member with Cirqu’elle Aerial Dance Company, and has performed for Circus Now NYC, William Close & the Earthharp Collective, Treat Social Club, Santa Barbara Aerial Dance Festival, Vau de Vire Society, Method42, Earth Circus, Haworth and more!
