You will always hear music you love from the Cafe Americain Trio.
Standing at a musical crossroad of the world, the acoustic string group Cafe Americain draws from the bohemian sounds of European cafe music, romantic gypsy jazz, swing, elegant Brazilian Choros, Sambas and Bossa Novas, and, of course, the always hip Great American Song Book.
Cafe Americain is the brain-child of internationally respected guitarist Ned Boynton. He is joined by a second guitarist and upright bass.
This group of engaging, charismatic performers plays traditional music perfectly suited to modern life. It is a captivating sound in which warm, rich instrumental voices bring forth music full of agile grace, subtle nuance, impeccable timing and irrepressible spirit.
In short, this is music for “la dolce vita”!
Performances:
The musicians of Cafe Americain are quite experienced and versatile and can adapt to many different performance situations. They draw from our vast repertoire to tailor performances for any audience and venue! While their music is “acoustic” in nature, the group can be amplified for larger audiences.
Reviews:
Imagine going from the joyful Runaway and a swinging string version of the Beatles Come Together to the spirited and crazy Mambo Italiano and Django Reinhardts Swing 42. Cafe Americain travels through that diverse material during the first four selections on Social Club, making a variety of styles a logical and comfortable part of their musical menu
2009 event at the Hotel Nikko: Cafe Americain was superb and exactly suited for our event. Thank you for the recommendation and for your organization to confirm their services, much appreciated!
2009 Oracle event: Cafe Americain was absolutely perfect – and the guys were really nice.
2010 Wells Fargo event: I LOVED those guys! They were so great! They were so easy-going, flexible, and willing to put up with my request for them to learn some Lady Gaga tunes.
